  • Biography
Born and raised in Eagle County, Dr. Dorf left the Valley to pursue his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College and his medical degree from the University of Colorado. Dr. Dorf also completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery from Wake Forest University and a residency in orthopaedic surgery from the University of Virginia.

Dr. Dorf specializes in hand, elbow and shoulder surgery, some of the body's most difficult surgical environments. He has written numerous journal publications, book chapters and invited articles. Dr. Dorf also serves as the team physician for the Summit High School football team, the Team Summit Ski and Snowboard teams and as the Stage Physician for the U.S. Pro Cycling Challenge.

Dr. Dorf has traveled across Tibet and lived in Sweden, Brazil, France, Spain, Mexico, Nepal and Malawi. His non-profit organization builds schools in Brazil, Africa and Nepal. In the summer months, Dr. Dorf spends time on his road and mountain bikes. In the winter, he enjoys skiing with his wife and two children and playing ice hockey.
