COVID 19 Crisis:

In an effort to protect our patients, community and staff, Vail Valley Surgery Center has temporarily closed its Vail location thorough May 25th. Our Edwards facility is now open for surgical procedures. In order to reduce exposure, patients’ designated ride/care provider will only be allowed to enter the building when the patient is ready to be sent home. Only one adult per patient will be allowed. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these times.

Orthopaedic surgery includes all procedures related to the musculoskeletal system. This surgical category includes a wide range of procedures to correct issues including sports injuries, degenerative diseases, musculoskeletal trauma, and more. Locals and athletes from around the world trust us to provide the highest level of orthopaedic care in a comfortable environment.

Pain Management

The treatment of chronic pain, typically by steroid injection, is offered in both of our convenient locations. This short procedure is designed to relieve pain in the facet joints (along the spine) by reducing irritation and inflammation of the joint and surrounding structures.

Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine concerned with the digestive system. Gastroenterologic procedures such as colonoscopies, esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGD), and endoscopic ultrasounds are handled safely and conveniently in our Edwards location.

General Surgery

In order to better serve patients of the Shaw Regional Cancer Center, breast biopsies are now being performed at our Edwards facility. We offer both incisional and excisional biopsies, depending on the patient’s needs and the physician’s recommendations.

Ophthalmology is that branch of medicine concerned with the eyes. Our ophthalmologists perform specialized eye surgeries for a variety of conditions such as cataracts, and we are always adding new technology to our repertoire.

Otolaryngology (ENT)

Also known as “Ear, Nose, and Throat,” otolaryngology surgical procedures correct issues related to the head and neck. Our experienced physicians are able to perform a variety of ENT outpatient procedures on both pediatric and adult patients.

Plastic Surgery

Patients looking to improve their physical appearance will find the expert care they need at Vail Valley Surgery Center. Whether treating trauma or addressing aesthetic issues, we employ state-of-the-art technology in a safe and professional atmosphere.
